The 1st Military Justice Advisors Course has been scheduled for 31 January - 4 February 2022. This course is by INVITATION ONLY and will be conducted in-person. The course is capped at 50 attendees and seats will be apportioned evenly across the installations to the greatest extent possible.

NOTE: Approved applicants will be loaded into ATRRS and notified of their attendance and execution of the course NLT 17 December 2021. By order of the commander of TJAGLCS, all attendees must be fully vaccinated to attend this in-person course .
Description: The Military Justice Advisors Course provides military justice advisors with specialized training on executing the duties related to a military justice advisor including knowledge of the applicable justice legal systems, processes, and personnel relevant to those duties. Through classroom instruction, small group discussions and practical exercises, students will learn how to advise commanders and law enforcement on all aspects of military justice with a specific focus on command actions on allegations of misconduct, investigations, pre-referral investigative procedures, nonjudicial punishment, courts-martial, and administrative separations. This course will strive to teach best practices on how to effectively manage caseloads, paralegal support, and commander relationships.
Prerequisites: This course is designed for active duty U.S. Army Judge Advocates who currently serve, or are scheduled to serve in their next assignment, as military justice advisors. Priority will be given to applicants who have less than six months of experience as a military justice advisor or who will assume the duties as a military justice advisor within the next six months.
