Federal Litigation Course: IN-RESIDENT APPLICATION

Purpose:  This is an introductory course that presents practice-oriented instruction encompassing problems confronting government attorneys in federal civil litigation.  Instruction is provided in federal civil litigation subjects, including:  the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; case management; discovery; the Federal Tort Claims Act; the Administrative Procedure Act; requests for official information; Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act litigation; the Court of Federal Claims; depositions; official immunity; pleadings and motion practice; and mediation in federal courts.

Prerequisites:  Attendees must be Department of Defense (DoD) military or civilian attorneys who are serving in, or pending assignment to, a federal civil litigation position. Paralegals and legal administrators who provide legal support in federal civil litigation may also apply.
