ABOUT US
The Noncommissioned Officer Academy (NCO Academy) at TJAGLCS is an integral part of TJAG’s “One Team” vision of combining all of the Army’s legal training at one location. The NCO Academy trains paralegal NCOs of all components: Active, Reserve and National Guard. Having been previously located at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana, the NCO Academy was established in Charlottesville, Virginia on June 17, 2004.
MISSION
Educate, train, and develop paralegals to be agile, adaptive and committed leaders of the Army and legal professions capable of providing timely and competent legal support to the Army and Joint Force. Prepare paralegals to meet the challenges of an increasingly uncertain and complex operational environment through resident and distributive learning methods and technologies.

The course provides paralegals an opportunity to acquire the critical skills and knowledge needed to employ their technical expertise into operational planning and legal service support.
SLC. ATRRS 512-27D-40 The course provides paralegals an opportunity to refine the critical skills needed to be effective leaders in the Army.
ONLINE
This course will prepare Army personnel to perform duties as leaders in a paralegal capacity. This course exposes students to typical legal issues faced by a paralegal, and provides refresher training between AIT and ALC. Students will gain a solid foundation in the law and paralegal profession through an interactive online learning platform focusing on effective legal writing, client services, administrative law, and criminal law.
COURSE INFONSL-P provides paralegal Noncommissioned Officers with knowledge and understanding of a full spectrum of National Security Law in an innovative distance learning environment focusing on legal concepts, analysis, and application. The course prepares skill level 2 and 3 paralegals to develop, master, and refine key skills that will enhance their ability to assist Judge Advocates and command teams in the operational environment.

The course provides Soldiers with an opportunity to acquire the critical skills and knowledge necessary to provide legal services. Paralegal Specialists assist commanders and attorneys in providing legal services to Soldiers and family members.
