ABOUT US
The Administrative and Civil Law Department (ADA) educates the broad spectrum of students attending The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School on three primary areas: Administrative Law, Legal Assistance and Professional Communications. Within Administrative Law, the ADA Faculty teach the following variety of topics relevant to the Department of Defense: administrative investigations, standards of conduct and ethics, U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard component issues, the authority of commanders, the relationships between state and federal governments, government information practices, military personnel law, environmental law, labor law, and federal claims issues. The legal assistance component of ADA primarily focuses classroom instruction on consumer law, landlord-tenant law, family law, estate planning and tax law.
