2026 Advanced Acquisitions & Appropriations Law Course

Purpose
The Advanced Acquisitions & Appropriations Law Course (formerly Advanced Contract Law Course (5F-F103)) provides advanced instruction on specialized fiscal law and acquisition topics. This course is for non-supervisory contract and fiscal law attorneys with over two years of contract and/or fiscal law experience. The course addresses various topics,
which vary with each course.
This course typically includes selected classes from the previous Government Contract and Fiscal Law New Developments Course (5F-511) and other advanced contract and fiscal law topics.
This year’s course will feature one day focused on contract law topics, including the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul, source selection, and procurement fraud. The following day will focus on fiscal law topics, including appropriation law interpretation, security cooperation, funding domestic operations, and fiscal law implications with working capital funds. The last days will focus on new developments in policy and law, and innovation efforts, with opportunities to pursue elective tracks.
Course dates are 21-24 April 2026.
Prerequisites
Military or civilian attorneys employed by the U.S. Government. Attendees must have successfully completed the Contract Attorneys Course (5F-F10), and/or the Fiscal Law Course (5F-F12), or equivalent training and have at least two years of experience as a contract and/or fiscal law attorney or equivalent.

The following agencies and commands have reserved seats: U.S. Army Materiel Command; U.S. Army Installation Management Command; U.S. Army Contracting Command; U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command; Defense Contract Audit Agency; Defense Logistics Agency; the Department of the Air Force; and the Department of the Navy.
If you are assigned to these organizations, you must register through your ATRRS/training coordinator to receive a seat. All other Department of Defense and Non-Department of Defense personnel shall submit an application for this course.

Non-Department of Defense
personnel may complete the course application form available at

to apply for enrollment on a space-available basis. On the form, indicate that you are a non-DoD applicant. However, please also include your Reserve/Guard information if applicable, even if applying in your civilian capacity.

: Army Active Duty and civilians must submit the application NLT 20 MARCH 2026 to be considered. Completing this Course Application does NOT guarantee you a seat in this course.
