Purpose: The Military Justice Leaders Course provides military justice leaders with specialized training on the effective management of criminal justice legal systems, processes, and personnel.  Through classroom instruction and highly qualified peer mentorship, students will learn how to supervise, train, and develop their subordinate counsel.  Students will obtain an in-depth understanding of the rules and methodologies of pretrial preparation and processes including selecting panel members, negotiating plea agreements, and working with partners to include the OSTC and SVCs.  Finally, students will achieve an understanding of the rules and best practices of post-trial actions and exploring other select specialized topics.

Prerequisites: This course is designed for active duty Army Judge Advocates and senior non-commissioned officers who currently serve, or are scheduled to serve, as military justice managers, in particular, chiefs of justice and military justice operations NCOIC. Reserve component Judge Advocates and senior civilian personnel may also attend on a space available basis.
