Federal Litigation Course Application - The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center & School

Purpose: This is an introductory course that presents practice-oriented instruction encompassing problems confronting government attorneys in federal civil litigation. Instruction is provided in federal civil litigation subjects, including: the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure; case management; discovery; the Federal Tort Claims Act; the Administrative Procedure Act; requests for official information; Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act litigation; the Court of Federal Claims; depositions; official immunity; pleadings and motion practice; and mediation in federal courts.
Prerequisites: Attendees must be Department of Defense (DoD) military or civilian attorneys who are serving in, or pending assignment to, a federal civil litigation position. Paralegals and legal administrators who provide legal support in federal civil litigation may also apply.

Applications are due NLT 23 July 2021. Admissions will be made on a rolling basis. Those interested should apply early. Applicants will be notified of their enrollment status (admitted or waitlisted) NLT 30 July 2021.
