Description: The Military Justice Transition Course provides specialized training to Military Justice Advisors and Trial Counsel as the practice of military justice undergoes both substantive and policy-related changes in 2024. While TCAP focuses on trial advocacy, this course will emphasize skills and legal training related to command advice. The Military Justice Transition Course will employ a mix of plenary instruction and in-depth Question-and-Answer sessions to maximize in-class participation while fostering input from the field. Students are encouraged to ask questions that assist them with military justice issues that are unique to their jurisdictions. At the end of each day, students will have designated time to sync with their local military justice leadership to discuss best practices within their individual offices.

Prerequisites: Intended for Military Justice practitioners in their first term and who are within their first six (6) months as either a Trial Counsel or a transitioning MJA, or who are slated to assume those duties and responsibilities within the next six (6) months.
