2022 Contract & Fiscal Law New Developments Course

PURPOSE: This course provides senior government attorneys updates on significant changes in government contract and fiscal law and policy by providing attendees the opportunity to hear the views of prominent individuals from the government and private sector.
PREREQUISITES: Military attorneys or civilian attorneys employed by the U.S. Government who work as a government contract law attorney or in a position of significant responsibility in acquisition law, have successfully completed the Contract Attorneys Course (5F-F10), Advanced Contract Law Course (5F-F103), or equivalent training, AND have a minimum of three years of experience as a contract law attorney.
LOCATION: This course is expected to return to exclusively in-person instruction at The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center & School, Charlottesville, Virginia, subject to the COVID-19 operating environment and the direction of the Commanding General. All attendees will be required to provide their own computer or digital device (e.g., laptop, tablet, etc.) capable of accessing JAG University. In the event the course has to be moved to a virtual format, attendees will be informed as soon as possible and must be capable of accessing Zoom for Government. Please ensure you are able to meet these technology requirements before registering for this course.
APPLICATIONS:
- All Department of Defense personnel shall apply for this course through the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS). Your training coordinator for your command or agency can determine if a seat is available through ATRRS. If your organization does not have available seats, students must enroll on the ATRRS waitlist. Applicants who do not meet course requirements may be removed from the ATRRS waitlist by the course manager to ensure qualified applicants are afforded an opportunity to attend the course. Once enrolled, students will be notified via ATRRS.
The following organizations have course seat allocations: AMC, PEO STRI, TECOM, TACOM, ASC, CYBERCOM, IMCOM, ACC, ATEC, USAREC, USACE, USALSA/OTJAG, USASOC, USARCENT, SP/MISS, DLA, USARC, USAF, NAVY, USCG, FT. LEE, AFRICOM. Applicants from these organizations or subordinate units must apply through their training coordinators. Training coordinators have until 45 days before the start of NDC to fill their respective unit allocations. Unit allocations not filled by 30 September 2022, will be given to personnel on the course wait list. - Non-Department of Defense personnel may complete the course application form available at https://tjaglcs.army.mil/studentservices to apply for enrollment on a space-available basis. On the form, indicate that you are a Non-DoD applicant. However, please also include your Reserve/Guard information if applicable, even if applying in your civilian capacity.
COVID-19 Restrictions:
All attendees must be in compliance with DoD policy, i.e., either fully vaccinated or have an APPROVED exemption NLT Monday, 14 November 2022 to attend the course. Attendees will be required to attest that they are fully vaccinated or provide proof of their exemption prior to the course. Instructions and the deadline for providing attestation / exemption information will be published separately. Persons who do not attest by the deadline will be disenrolled from the course. Additionally, all attendees will adhere to all TJAGLCS policies current at the time of course (e.g., masking/hygiene/social distance policy).
DEADLINES:
All Non-DoD Applications are due by COB on Monday, 3 October 2022. Non-DoD Applicants will be notified of their enrollment status (admitted or waitlisted) NLT Monday 1 November 2022.
